The Society for Information Management (SIM) is a nonprofit, leadership development organization for the technology community.

Our purpose is to develop, empower, and celebrate exceptional technology leaders, so they may conquer their biggest challenges and pursue their greatest opportunities.

SIM leverages three key pillars to deliver this value to its members:

1. Unparalleled Connection: We are a genuine community of profound connection based upon high-level trust and a deep sense of belonging. We know that technology alone can never replace human relationships. This is why we gather technology executives, prominent academicians, and high-level technology professionals through SIM chapters, SIGs and Peer Groups to engage members locally while connecting them to a broad national and global network.

2. Unparalleled Career Development: Members develop individual skills and their team’s skills with our extensive resources, immersive learning, and deep peer connections. Our recently rebranded and restructured SIM Leadership Institute offers programming for the full stack of technology leadership. Whether first-time managers or seasoned CIOs and executives, the SIM Leadership Institute has courses to assist leaders in meeting the challenges of the tech world today.

3. Unparalleled Contribution: To create a better future, we pay it forward by providing mentorship and support to the next generation of leaders through our Chapter outreach programs and SIM Foundation. We actively donate time and money to STEM initiatives and local educational institutions with the goal of fostering the growth of future leaders.
